Like a child.
How did I lose so much of my simplicity ? How it comes that my mind is so tangled ? Where is the time when I was the little Lucy just lifting my hands to Aslan ? Where are the lies from ?
You say that only the kids can enter your kingdom. Now I see that it doesn’t mean later, it doesn’t mean after death or in the heavenlies. It’s right here, it’s right now. Everyday, to enter the kingdom of God, you’ve got to be like a child. You’ve got to be like a child in the kingdom. How do they do that ? They probably run straight through the doors, all simple. They don’t ask themselves any question. It’s the kingdom of their Father, it’s a beautiful place to be, secure, shinny, joyful, peaceful, there’s no better playground to play with Him. But to enter this spiritual playground, it takes sometimes to be a soldier, to cross the battleground in the real life. It’s such a fight to be a kid. To just shut the lies and fears up and abandon yourself to the Father like a child.
Teach me to be a child again. Teach me to lose the complex mind and retorse heart.
There’s nothing else than this relationship of a child running to the Father, crying : « Abba ! »
Everything else is religion.
You don’t obey to a Master, you obey to a Father. Just like Jesus did.
Jesus calls us « My daughter, my son, my children ». Oh Lord let me see that Jesus is Abba. That it’s the same love, the same person. Let me have the same passion and obedience for Abba that I have for the Lord Jesus, and let me be sure of the Lord’s love as I am sure of Abba’s love. Holy Spirit, settle this in my soul please.
Bring me into simplicity again.
Bring me into truth.
Bring me into love.
